Clive Arrowsmith is a London-based fashion and celebrity portrait photographer, known for his commercial work. He studied painting and design and worked as a graphic designer for television before pursuing photography. He quickly gained commissions from leading fashion magazines: Harper's Bazaar, The Sunday Times, Colour Magazine, Vanity Fair, and Esquire. He has twice shot the Pirelli calendar, a highly prestigious and competitive honor. Arrowsmith works in other fields besides commercial advertising. He is importantly known for his portraits of celebrities. He has photographed Paul McCartney, Mick Jagger, Prince Charles, Michael Caine, and Damien Hirst, among many others. Arrowsmith is also an accomplished landscape and still life photographer, as well as a filmmaker. Recently, he has been working in Taiwan on the Free Tibet campaign and has photographed His Holiness the Dalai Lama several times.
